Analyse how the creators of this advertisement have created meaning through the use of Media Language in this source by comparing it to the Shelter advertising campaign.


The creators of this advertisement have showed their meaning through the image of a hand. The hand shows the peace sign, which may suggest that the company is for 'international' peace. The location of the hand and the barbed wire gives us the impression that the peace sign is cutting through the barbed wire, this may have been done because barbed wire traps things in an area, and stops things from getting in. Therefore they have used the image of the barbed wire getting cut to show freedom. In the logo the word 'international' stands out, as it is in a different colour compared to the other text. They have done this to show that the charity works in other places and helps everyone that is in need. The red hand may also symbolise blood, and danger. However it may also show that the charity will fight until freedom.
