Statement of intent (Poster Advert)
Statement of intent
1) How do you intend to use the four areas of the media theoretical framework to communicate meaning and meet the requirements of your chosen brief? (Fair trade fashion)
2) How do you intend to link your media products to demonstrate your knowledge and understanding of the digitally convergent nature of your media production?
- Media Language (conventions of the products)
- Media Audience (Target Audience)
- Media Representation (How the message is constructed about groups of people and how the audience relate to these constructions)
- Media Industries (The companies behind the products, the legal considerations and how profit is generated by the products. Considerations relating to cross-media platforms and where products will appear as part of the campaign.).
I am going to use
medium distances for camera angles, as I believe that by doing this the images
will link both of the images together and make them somewhat similar. For one
of my images I intend to use pink lighting and black clothing. Whereas for my
other image I intend to use pink clothing.
I will be taking
my photographs for my posters with either a pink background or it will have
pink props clearly in shot. In my opinion I feel like the neon pink lighting
will create a 'clubbing' theme. The products will then be aimed at ages 18-29, this
is my target audience as the products will be affordable and also relevant to
these age groups. The unusual pink lighting will draw the attention to the
posters and allow them to be unique and not look like every average advertising
poster. Mise en scene of my photo will be simple yet effective, as I will use
some items that are relevant to the theme to create a simple yet creative
background for my photo. My logo will be on the bottom on the poster to show
what brand it is. When I am taking my photo I will be mindful that I need to
leave space at the bottom of the page to allow room for my logo.
To avoid a
copyright strike i will use clothing that is not branded. The clothes will also
have to look as if they were made using fair trade products. For example,
cotton and linen may be good fair trade clothing materials to use.
I will take both
of my photos on a white background and they will both contain pink lighting.
The model will be the same in both of the photos so that the audience will be
able to view the products on the same person.
