Research task: Dance music What makes all of these music videos from the dance music genre? All of the music videos from the dance genre contain dancing inside the video and show a happy and upbeat side to the video. They have done this so that the video appeals to the audience. In all of the music videos they use colour to make them stand out. Branded sportswear is worn in the music video to symbolise the sport aspect of the video, this also shows that the music can be danced to and also you can do sports to the music. Explore how the artists are using representation to appeal to their target audience in these three videos by picking out key frames from the video to analyse. In these music videos the artist has represented themselves to their target audience as being happy and 'free'. They are all free to do what they want with no one stopping them. Burn the witch revision notes: Burn the Witch  - Radiohead The band 'RadioHead' were formed in 1985 in Abingdon, Oxfordshire.  Radio head's music genre is a range of: Alternative rock, progressive rock, experimental rock, electronica and Art rock.  The majority photos of Radio head are in black and white, and some of their photos are of them during different times of their career. The black and white images portray the band to have dark music and lyrics. Because t hey are an older band, so they have more of a fan base (cult) that are supportive. Analysis of the video As our first attempt at moving image the recreation of the H&M close the loop advert was a reasonable effort considering the period of time we were allocated and the variety of settings, props and cast needed. In our team I believe that we worked well and equally shared the job allocations. The unison of the group led to our successful product.
