Media Language and Representations: Advertising and Marketing (Old Spice) Explain how and why, with close textual references, how effective their campaign is in attracting a youthful audience. Old spice's aftershave campaign is effective to attract a youthful audience as they use a young model in the advert. This symbolises that younger men can use the product, and that the aftershave is not only aimed at the older audience.  The colours used in this advert are used to represent the  'Bahamas scent'. Be specific about your use of photography and Photoshop editing tools.  Finally, what would you do differently?

The outfit that she is wearing corresponds with the camera angle, as it shows her confidence about her appearance.  She also looks as if she does not care about what people will think with her blank expression. They have used the n on-diegetic sound of narrator saying  'Try too hard.'  in the background over the video. They have used this line to imply that the model in the video is trying too hard to be different. The location of the video is in an everyday convenience store, which shows that the model is creating unique outfits that make her stand out against basic backgrounds. They have used natural lighting to show the realism of the video. The shot that is used is a low camera angle. They have used this camera angle to show that the model in this scene
